Babys New Bonnet



This is the crocheted bonnet I made for Mei-Ling last night. I started out with a pattern, but quickly decided that it was going to be bigger than I wanted so made adjustments of my own and went from there. I plan on making a white crochet cotton sweater, bonnet and matching lace around a pink blanket for her, using the same pattern.
I have always loved working with crochet cotton, especially making lace edgings around hankies

Beautiful bonnet! You mentioned crocheted edging on hankies. I have a set of 6 that an elderly friend of my Mum made especially for me. I really like them but am so afraid to use the because I don't want to get them stained and nasty. It feels like such a waste to have them sitting in my dresser drawer but they are too nice to ruin.

I have no idea how to crochet. I MUST learn! The bonnet look lovely, very pretty and delicate.

PS. I liked the post on blogging and validation. I try to keep it real...but sometimes blogging is like a popularity contest at High School...this kind of stuff is in the femal genome, sad to say!
