Amazing Sunshine on A Sunday Afternoon
You know, I think life is pretty amazing. Each and every day something happens to make me feel excited to be alive. Might be just the blue sky, the warm feeling of holding hands with the love in my life. Could be a morning telephone call from Melissa just to say hi and see what's going on in this neck of the woods. Might even be Casi stopping by for a quick hello, or that extra hug from Melanie with an I love you when dropping her off at her house after coffee together. Simple things. Joyful things.
I stood at the back door this morning, wiggling my toes with child like anticipation of being able to go outside and play after breakfast.
There is always some level of excitement in this house about life in general. Its a bit contagious too, since visitors say they can feel it and then they want to dance a bit inside their souls.
Isn't life supposed to be filled with joy ? Sure there are down times, we all know about those, but they are not the normal every day thing. They should be rare. If they are common, you are sending out the wrong message according to the Law of Attraction.
The cottonwoods upper branches, the ones that get the sun first and for the most hours are budding out. Kind of exciting to see that, leaves being birthed. Emery has been working my planting beds, digging in the rich soil. He had the stereo playing for a while then decided the birds were far more beautiful to his ears and turned off the man made music.
This simple life style, being in touch with the great outdoors, is conducive to feeling the joy of living. At least for us. We are outside often, playing in the dirt, feeling the soft earth under our feet. The sky coming down to kiss our cheeks with the wind tousling our hair. Takes away any stress. Stretches the mind, the body. Muscles used to look up at the trees, take giant steps for the fun of it. Life shovels and hoes. Your joints used to bend and stretch. Keeps you energized. Makes you want to skip. Might just do that today, skip some. Skipping makes you laugh, the happy kind of laugh.
This life gives us the kind of environment that gives us a unique freedom. Freedom to be who we are, to be comfortable in our own skin. No game playing.
No pretending and changing things so certain people won't know the real us. "Cover ups" are something for folks that have something to hide.
Used to worry about what people thought back a few decades ago, but by the time you reach 40, you are pretty much done with that limiting attitude ! At 50, that attitude is no where to be found.
I have taken a few things out of a blog entry that brought on some comments from the not so balanced ones out there in blogland. If it had been important stuff I would have left it, but it has always been stuff about my own family that gets the weirdo's going. But I am not into removing entire entries . Not into that kind of facade playing stuff.
The sunshine, the big sky, makes you understand just how big this old world is and how much room for realizing dreams.
Whatever your lifestyle, just be real.
Since first learning about "The Secret" our dreams are changing. Removing the limits we had placed on ourselves. Stretching our goals, believing in the power of the law of attraction.
