A Stroll through town

Melanie is working for a couple hours a week now and I get to watch Mei-Ling, (yes, I am doing the happy dance) Since it is a blustery kind of day, it seemed right to bundle up Mei-Ling in a bunting my mother knit for my girls and head out for a good long walk. Babies seem to sleep so well in the chilly air when they are all snugly warm. In no time at all, she was sound asleep. I walked for about an hour and a half, taking in the sights of the local university and our "duck pond" in town. The wind was really whipping around my legs as I walked but it felt good to have a cold wind after such warm weather the past few days. We stopped in at the post office to say hello to the folks there, and stopped by our local health food store on the way home to see whats new and now, home, Mei-Ling is sleeping soundly in her crib.

Walking with a baby is just about my favorite pastime. Now, its time for me to get busy and bake a few more pies !
