Time to be still

It's never easy for me to just rest. Its not that I don't understand that I need to, its just that life is so exciting, so full of wonders to be experienced that just sitting around doing nothing seems like a huge waste of time to me. I put up our tree yesterday, and on Monday I ran errands and now I am paying the price. This pleurisy thing is back with a vengeance. I hurt more today than I did in the beginning of all this. So now I have no choice but to rest and understand that this is a time for me to listen, to be still, to hear the small still voice that seems to be trying to get my attention.
Maybe if you have a moment you wouldn't mind saying a little prayer for me.

Its a cold morning here and I so wish I was out walking in the wintery air !

I'm praying that you can practice some stillness today. Get some rest and get better! Do you have any good books to pull out, or a movie to watch? Or knitting? I have to have one of the above, or I'm terrible about resting.
Prayers for you. It is so difficult to accept physical limitations. Hard to relinquish plans and activities, hard to realize that our lives and those around us will continue to function even we when need to take "time out."

You have pleurisy? I've heard that's very painful. I will keep you in my prayers.
Patty,
I just said a prayer for you. Hope your feeling up to par soon and can enjoy your family and Christmas festivities. Nancy D.

Oh Patty, I'm sorry! Good news about Mei Ling, though.
