Here we are now

Somehow I am always the one behind the camera so its not easy to get a photo of me and Emery together. But here is one I took of me this morning as I was going out shopping and the one of Emery was taken last year, but he looks the exact same.
I am all happy today, have lost 6 1/2 lbs since starting my diet on Sunday. 1,000 calories for the first week, then up to 1,400-1,600. Its not been hard so far and the reward is sweet.
I think Emery looks pretty good for 62, I always have to tease him about his age, since he is 8 years older than me.

Beautiful photos and you do make a handsome couple. Wanted to take this opportunity to wish you and your family, particularly Mei Ling, a truly beautiful and blessed Christmas!
Emery is handsome--you are tres chic with that haircut and red blazer--both of you are a tribute to healthy living.

you are perfectly matched in every way!

6-1/2 since Sunday? Wow! I thought maybe you had lost your appetite while sick. That is a great start!

Congratulation on your 6.5lb weight loss so far.:) That is quite an accomplishment. I know it's hard to lose weight but if there is a will there is a way. I think that you got the will. I now struggle a bit with my weight too and have seen my own mother struggle for years. My problem is not getting th exercise I used to get and I know it.
Anyway, you're looking great. Yes, your husband does look very good for his age too. Can't believe that he is 62.
YOu all have a great day and stay cozy.:)

I don't remember seeing a photo of you with your hair like it is now Pat but it looks really great! I like the glasses too. I have enjoyed seeing the photos of you and Emery from years ago. My dh had a 1969 Mach 1 when I met him. Wherever I was in our small town, I could hear his car if he was out in it.

Hi Patty

Nice to see you!!

Well done for weight loss - its worth it - but what a hard time of year to start a diet - from one who has just popped some Chocolate chip cookies dd made.

And I am sitting with shorts & Tee shorts on - all doors & windows open as summer here in New Zealand - feels soo odd to rad your blog of warming up goats water, I must try that for the winter - but we don't have such cold winters as you do - just freezing cold winds.

Love Leanne
You two look great! Patty, I wasn't sure if you had seen this or what you think about it, but it seems up your alley.

Hope you are well and enjoying a great day! Congrats on the diet, although a 1,000 calories doesn't seem like much. I hope it continues to make you feel better however. Many blessings to you and yours!

thanks for the link on the handmade toys. Only will be doing 1,000 calories for one week. After that I will be eating a bit more.

Great picture of you Patty! I like your haircut alot. I reallly need to find a shorter haircut for me that I like. I just keep letting my hair grow and trimming the ends, since I havn't settled on a cut I will stick with! It looks so good on you!
Your packages are beautiful. I have all the out of town gifts mailed off now and still have many local ones to wrap..but have had a couple wrapping sessions with the kids...to wrap THEIR gifts to each other. It is fun to see their sweet homemade gifts. I love that they are all creative in some way.
have a great week!!

I rarely comment (and I think my feed reader is always a day behind on your posts) but I couldn't let this go by without telling you how lovely you look. I really like the hair style. And congratulations on the weight loss-that's definitely worth celebrating. I'm going to my first meeting at Weight Watchers tonight. I would be ecstatic with results like yours! :-)
