Saying Good-bye

It was so hard to say good-bye today to my daughter. My husband came home for lunch, then the girls and I headed for the airport. We had a tearful parting and then after we were on the road about 10 minutes Melanie's cell phone rang and it was Melissa, saying good-bye one more time. We all felt pretty down in the dumps.
Here is Melissa with my husband just before we left for the airport.

Each and every moment with our children is such a blessing. We feel so rich.

Yeah, I know. Knew it would be hard. But, she'll come again.

No it's not easy saying goodbye, but what wonderful memories to tide you over till her next visit! Gee, you can tell they're father and daughter :-)

Patty, I was thinking she might've gone home over the weekend. Figured it was about time for the goodbyes. It is so hard when we must leave after the short visits.

I keep thinking how neat it was for her to have surprised you.

She surely looks like her dad!

Your house will seem a bit empty for a few days but think how happy her husband will be to have her home!

What a beautifull picture Patty! I believe that tears flew at the airport.

Your stories of the fun times you've been having with your daughters reminds me of the few times in recent years that my whole family has been able to get together. I've been thinking about you this weekend knowing you'd be having to say goodbye soon.

Saying goodbye has always been the hardest thing for me after one of my too short visits back home. I do love my place here in Texas, but I miss my family so much and wish we were not 7-10 hours apart.
