Lunch Time !
As my husband pulled in the driveway, his plate was waiting for him. Steaming hot food. Home made noodles with fresh butter and parsley. Fried cabbage, picked yesterday from our garden, and some sausage. Cold milk and canned peaches too.
Its always nice to have my gentle man sitting across from me at the noon time meal. Now, dishes to be done, bread to be made, and then time to cook the next meal.
Tonight's supper something we had one Sunday after church in Grays Prairie. Hamburger browned and added to the hamburger, baked beans and of all things, canned green beans. Cooked slowly in the crock pot most of the day, then poured over white rice and served. Sounds horrid but its really quite good.
It is a silent sort of morning, sitting next to the wood stove in my rocker, watching the birds outside my windo...
