I WON !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


Bonnie over at Quilted Together had a give away and I won ! Now this is a big deal for me, since in my life time I have won ONE thing (until now) At the tender age of 14 I went with my mother to hear some lecture and there were door prizes. I won a bag of shredded cabbage. No joke, its the truth. So you can imagine I was more than just happy to win something as beautiful as this apron. Bonnie included a wonderful crocheted pot holder, a vintage cookie cutter and a lovely antique Easter post card. Treasures for ever.

Good timing, to brighten your day!

The last time I won anything, I was 16, and I had just announced to my parents and grandparents that if I won a turkey, in the drawing, I would not go up to claim it. Of course, as soon as the words were out of my mouth, my family made me go get it. I was so embarrased, and everyone around us laughed.

When my oldest daughter started school, there was a drawing with the prize being a large stuffed bear. My daughter was so excited at the prospect of winning and was absolutely sure that out of 600 children, she would be the one to win. I cautioned her about the odds of such a thing happening so her little heart wouldn't be broken. Imagine my surprise when I went to pick her up after school and she came out carting the large bear! The faith of a child.
