A Repeat Post....No Excuses

My knee is better, so I ran and it felt wonderful. Just did 2 miles but loved the feel of the air passing over me and how I felt like I had wings. What a good feeling for me right now. It suits me. Melissa ran today too. We are committed to being healthy. I re-read this post and wanted to share it again. There are no excuses when it comes to taking care of our bodies and minds.
From Sept 07
No excuses, that's the new rule for the day.... I ran. I didn't want to run, I had plenty of excuses stashed away in my brain, but knowing that I would feel better if I did, have more energy if I did, I just read the ABC's of how to achieve your dreams, gave myself a kick in the seat of the pants, (figuratively of course) put on my running clothes and headed out the door, water bottle in hand, IPOD set for some lively music. Ran a mile, not much but better than not running !

Here are the ABC's to achieve your dreams.....
Remember Your ABCs
Avoid negative sources, people, places, things and habits
Believe in yourself

Consider things from every angle

Don't give up and don't give in

Enjoy life today, yesterday is gone and tomorrow may never come

Family and friends are hidden treasures, seek them and enjoy their riches

Give more than you planned to

Hang on to your dreams

Ignore those who try to discourage you

Just do it

Keep trying no matter how hard it seems, it will get easier

Love yourself first and most

Make it happen

Never lie, cheat or steal, always strike a fair deal

Open your eyes and see things as they really are

Practice makes perfect

Quitters never win and winners never quit

Read study and learn about everything important in your life

Stop procrastinating

Take control of your own destiny

Understand yourself in order to better understand others

Visualize it

Want it more than anything

Xcellerate your efforts

You are unique of all God's creations nothing can replace you

Zero in on your target and go for it !

picture taken in the parking garage of the childrens hospital, made me think about how bars and cement can't hold a person back that wants to fulfill a purpose, there are always ways around what tries to hold a person back

Great ABC's, and the note from Melissa, below, was beautiful and touching! My daughter and I are close as well. She is a great daughter and a wonderful friend. And my two sons are pretty great as well. Grown children are such a blessing!
