Purple Haze or is that Deep Purple ?

The purple was a perfect suggestion ! Only one problem with this quilt so far, both my daughters want one just like it. So that means I need to make two more ! Off to the store tomorrow for fabric. I was not willing to part with this one. Do you think it needs something else added to it ?
More sashing or not ?
Not sure what color to use for the backing either.
Can't wait to get it in the frame and quilt it.
I do believe this quilt needs a name.
Got any suggestions ???
Just a fun side not here folks. A bit of a controversy makes for good readership it seems. As of 7:30 pm there have been over 750 hits to this blog today. A few visits from a certain blogger that shall remain nameless : )

Rain on the horizon right now which is a really good thing. We sure need it and to be honest it feels a bit like "showers of blessings". I was out planting my new rose bush as it was thundering high above me.

I want to thank all of you who have emailed me or left comments of support. What good friends I have in the cyber world.

Patty: It looks fantastic! I always like to use a solid backing so the quilting shows.

I really stink at naming quilts so . . no suggestions from me.

Me too! Gorgeous borders - the narrow ones really add zing. I don't think I'd add anything more. Perhaps turqouise for the backing? I guess any of the colours in that fabric would look great. Naming quilts is so hard. Rainbow of Life, or Bright Hopes or..... hmmm not one of my talents LOL.

What a wonderful statement of liberation Patty ! It's just beautiful...much like the colors of spring, happy and bright, but still soft.

As for the backing, I think you'll "know" when you see it..*VBS*. I like quilts named also, but I think it's very personal, again...you'll know what is right. Hugs for the long days journey and through the night, Finn

I can see why your daughters would want one too...it turned out great! I like how you kept the squares big and the borders frame it perfectly. I can't wait to see it finished.

I love how it turned out. Purple was a great choice. My dd took one look at it and said "Oooh! What a pretty quilt! Can you make one for me, mommy?" She loves purple too.
