Bluebonnets and Indian Paint Brush

This year is not the best for blue bonnets but there are still some small areas which are showy . Mostly along the highways where the Bluebonnets have been planted by the highway department. The Indian Paintbrush seem to be doing better than the Bluebonnets. Enjoy a bit of Spring time in Texas !

Ohhhhh, so beautiful! Your season is so much more advanced than ours! I love the Blue Bonnets and Indian Paintbrush. We don't have Blue Bonnets where we live, but in the mountains nearby, Indian Paintbrush grow and are so pretty. We have some growing beside the lane that leads to our cabin, so I call that road "Paintbrush Lane". But, when it's not in bloom, I call it "Cabin Ridge Road". I have fond memories of Indian Paintbrush since childhood.

While in Louisiana I commented that the bluebonnets were blooming in TX and Vince's response . . we are NOT driving to Texas! So, I'll just enjoy them via your blog! Thanks!

I just drove to Oklahoma City and back and was watching for the bluebonnets and other wild flowers. The further north we went the less we saw. But then that was the area most affected by the drought.

I've so been enjoying the spring flower show around her and thank you for sharing yours.
