Update on Melanie

Prayers have been answered. Melanie's CAT scan was normal, her severe headache was from being dehydrated, which we are not sure how that happened, since she is no longer having mornig sickness. They gave her 4 bags of fluid in the ER.
She also has a urinary tract infection.
She came home with me as Casi had to head back to work and is now sleeping soundly on the couch.
Thanks so much for praying for Melanie.

Oh I am so sorry that I have been lax in reading blogs, and missed that she was ill. But I'm so glad that all has been diagnosed and will be fine.

You poor Dear, you must have been frantic. My heart goes out to you.

Many, many hugs,

I'm so, so glad that it was something easily corrected. How frightening it must have been.

Dehydration manifests in headaches in myself too, so I know now to pay close attention.

One folk remedy she might consider if she can stomach it is to drink water with a dash of cider vinegar (unpasteurized) - it provides some of the electrolytes & minerals that help in the absorption of water.

It's kind of counterintuitive that plain water sometimes runs right through even though you might be dehydrated, but that's been my experience (and I've read it in numerous places, though can't remember where...sorry!).

I'm so glad you can all rest and recover now.

Take care,

I'm glad to hear that Melanie is doing better, I know how worried you must be. My daughter-in-law is having a very difficult pregnancy and has felt ill from the start, now she has pre-eclampsia and we have reached the stage where every extra week is a bonus - she has reached week 32 but has already had two spells in hospital including the whole of Christmas. I hope Melanie is feeling back to normal again today, dehydration can make you feel very ill as I know from experience.
