The New baby

The new little one is a modest little one, keeping its sex a secret. Never allowing the Doctor to have a proper look.
So its going to have to be yellow and green baby items that are made for another month or at least a combination of all the colors used for babies. Melanie is doing so well the Doctor said she didn't have to come back to see him for a month, instead of the every two weeks that it has been.
She even gained some which we are all happy about.
The blood work they did to check for problems with the baby came out just fine, everything is normal. No problems.
For that we are more than grateful, we all feel so blessed. God is so good.
Priscilla has not been to the Doctor yet and not sure what they are planning on doing. Perhaps they will choose to have a midwife and have the baby at home. Not sure they even know what they will do.
I do hope she gets some sort of prenatal care soon.

Todays picture of the baby. He/She was busy kicking its feet and moving around but never in a way that the Doctor could see what he wanted to see : )

I was anxiously awaiting the news like you were! We'll all have to wait longer --- boy or girl? The baby is in charge! LOL!

Buy Priscilla a good sized bottle of multi-vitamins that contain Folic Acid to use while she makes up her mind about the route she'll take with this pregnancy. It will give you peace of mind and heart.

Enjoy the moment! Exciting times!

What a sweet little baby!! Emily did the same thing when we had our first (and only!) ultrasound! I'm so glad that Melanie is doing well!

My youngest Daughter Isis is also born at home..( with a midwife, this is normal here) We didn't want investigations before only when it was needed for health. After Purdey ( she is handicapted is having a rare chromosome disorder) We choose for a another baby. We want the baby just the way it is given to us !! And that was Isis! ( named after the song from Bob dylan) I met my DH on the street he was playing guitar ... songs from Bob Dylan. I made a conversation with him ....... now 20 years later we have 4 kids and a dog etc.etc...

There are so many wonderful Blogger babies-to-be out there, and I love how I get to go through the excitement of a pregnancy secondhand (as three is enough for me!).

As a former nursing student who also worked on Labor/Delivery at the hospital AND used both a doctor and midwife with my own three, I hope Priscilla chooses a midwife. I agree with la tea dah's advice to get her some prenatal vitamins until she decides :-)
