Simply Delightful Day



There are days when its just perfect for strolling around looking for beauty, and I always find some. I am so grateful for days like today, nothing more to do than to enjoy life and savour Creation.
The robins are here in large numbers, I counted 20 on the south side of my house this morning. They are much earlier than normal. The bluebirds have arrived early too. There are so many signs that we will have a cold winter. Glad for the wood stove !

I too think it will be a cold one. Beautiful flowers. Funny I can almost feel the petals between my fingers.
Hope you are far enough inland to miss out Ike. We have had a steady inflow of traffic on I45 all day. I so hope they don't have to evac Galveston cause that would be just too close.

I was thinking, just yesterday, that we might be in for a cold winter.

I have kids and grandkids in Corpus Christi, and I'm worried about the hurricane. My daughter said lots of people are already leaving, and the stores are about sold out of water and batteries.
