After watching the Oprah show about pedophiles, I did a search to see if there is a danger related to blogging.

I enjoy reading many blogs, but I often thing that some bloggers put far too much personal information in their blogs. I know that there are plenty of "weird" people out there so I try keep my blog fairly vague in certain details.

since half a year i'm doubting about continueing blogging because of this. I posted about my children. about my life. I'm interested in how women life all over the world. But since half a year I have so now and then a "big brother is watching you feel "I took a blog break to think about it and I decided to come back and not post pictures about my family anymore. Till so far I only have nice experiences with blogging. I met so many nice women. And with some I became closer and I can call them my friends ... So blogging can also be fun!

Interesting article. I added a site meter to my blog simply out of curiosity, and I know I have a fair number of people reading who have never posted a comment. I'll admit this makes me a little nervous, and is one of the reasons that you will never see our last name, my kid's or husband's names or our exact location on there.

I think the risk is fairly small, but one never knows for sure.

I know some of my readers might have wondered why I quit posting for a while, but I didn't want to say anything about going on vacation before I left, for just those kind of reasons. I'm starting to get more local readers too, and thinking about using the delayed posting function when I am away just so it's not so obvious that the house will be empty. Did not see Oprah show but I am careful about last names..location etc. and also others names unless they already use them on their websites or blogs...I am always aware of the danger but I refuse to live in fear and I have met some wonderful people and I think there is nothing like sharing with another woman....enjoyed reading the ladies comments...
