A Bridal Shower for Priscilla
Today was Priscilla's bridal shower. It was held at her home and hosted by the young girls in the church.
Just about all the ladies from the church were there and of course the children. We all sat for a while at the quilting frame and worked on a quilt for Priscilla and Steven. We had a delightful lunch, with cake and ice cream for dessert. Priscilla received lovely gifts, all useful and ones she will use for many years to come.
There were three tiny babies there, all born within 4 weeks of each other. Grandchildren to one family.
It was such a pleasant day and nice for me to see old friends and meet some new ones.
A song was sung to Priscilla, called ....
Verse one is sung by all the ladies, verse two by the unmarried ladies, verse three by the married ladies and the chorus sung together.
"Fill Her Cup"
As we look back across your life,
We see God's hand guiding you,
And we thank Him for the way
He has brought such joy through you.
You are leaving our circle now,
To be joined with your husband dear,
And we thank you for showing us
How to live each day and year.
As you enter this brand new life,
We are welcoming you with love.
We look forward to sharing here,
Married joy like heaven above.
Chorus:
Fill her cup, let it overflow.
Fill her cup, let it overflow
Fill her cup, let it overflow,
Let it overflow with love.
The table was beautiful, with sunflowers and tea lights scattered here and there, along with a lovely lamp. The day has been rainy and dreary so the sunny looking table was extra pretty today.
The cake was delicious and pretty too.
The little girls sat watching Priscilla open her packages and they all looked on with such interest.

Comments
Thank you for your lovely, thoughtful blog - I read it frequently. I would like to spread your peaceful and gentle messages around.
I wanted to know about the comment box (???) I don't know what it's called) that I cannot get to 'go away' on your page. It covers your Profile and other interesting information -- to tell you the truth, it is close to annoying. Is there some way I can make it disappear?
Must be some formatting setting on your computer. Not sure how you can fix it to be honest.
Maybe someone checking the comments here can help you.
