I have used half whole wheat flour in the recipe too and it works out just fine.

We went to the library and got a book about a little boy and his apple tree. At the end, there is a recipe for apple pie. Guess what we are making tomorrow? :0)
Your pie is just beautiful! I have the same cookie cutter so I'll have to try my top crust the same way! Did you brush it with egg?
