Another School Shooting

Another school shooting, this time in a small Amish one room school house in Lancaster County. A 32 year old man, with a 20 year old grudge, ties up and shoots young girls execution style. Wounds others and turns the gun on himself. He is a father. Not Amish, never was I guess. Holding on to anger for 20 years. Something that took place when he was 12.
In the recent past I have written about the danger of holding on to anger, to let it brew and grow. Mutating into something that no longer is tied to reality.
Holding a grudge is like nursing venom. It feeds you more anger.
My heart goes out to that community. The pain and loss will be horrific. Their faith will sustain them and the promise of heaven, will give them comfort. They are non-resistant people. Take no action against voilence towards themselves. We all need to pray for the community.

Amish have no health insurance, like the Mennonites. The hospital bills for the families of those wounded will be astronomical. They will count on one another to help with the bills. I pray the generosity of many people will ease their burden.

What kind of people have we become in this world when in one weeks time, school shootings, shooting innocent children, has happened three times.

God have mercy on us all. I feel sick about this.
