Blue Skies Smiling At Me

I couldn't help but hum a few lines of the song "Blue Skies" this morning, windows open, birds singing, getting ready for a fun day and the sky, so blue.
Feels like time for a list of gratitude's. . .
I am so very grateful for
our children
and that our grandchildren are close by
my new lamp
the power of being optimistic
birds singing
blue skies and gray skies
all the seasons
weather changes
quiet places
candied ginger
fine art
the written word
candle light
hand holding
earth shoes, the Kalso ones
good hiking trails
good hiking boots
old photos and new ones
inspiration, in both verb and noun form !
fresh water to drink
ocean waves
babbling brooks
pretty rocks, I like the soft round variety found in rivers and the ocean
water falls
the smell of wood smoke
farm animals
wool to spin
dishes in the sink, means we had a meal and then would rather visit than wash dishes right off
health food stores
the ability to run
the ability to feel emotions
meditation and prayer
being over 50
gray hair
feeling peace in place of anger
and of course
Backpacking !
"Blue skies
Smiling at me
Nothing but blue skies
Do I see"
