Saturday Evening At Home

The tea kettle whistling, a cup of GoodEarth tea, a warm fire, a wintry sky and the lights from the tree filling the house with that special Christmas peace.
The evening, quiet. It's now 27 degrees outside, clear and bright sky, time to get tucked in and sleep the night away !

I like it when I can come in your home and "hover and snoop" with out you even knowing I'am there. haha.. How do you keep your floors so shiny?? Happy Holidays from our house to yours.

I use Mop and Glow once a month or so on my floors but the real glow comes from a "new" (just over a year old) coat of polyurathane. We used the water base this time and I don't like it as well, it seems to blister some.

Another question....... How long does it take to dry, what do you put it on with, and how long before you can put furniture back.

Hi PATTY,
Beautiful pictures, love looking at other people's things.
Thank you for stoping by my site I love the company.
Do you have a gift shop? I saw something on the side of your blog.
Snowing like crazy here today, the area is pretty much on shut down.
I was going to do some sewing but my machine isn't working right, stitches fine for a while then a real long thread no stitch. Guess I will go do some embroidery.

Hi Nancy Jo,
I have an on line store where I sell note cards, later I plan on having some of my hand dipped beeswax candles and a few other items

Hi Iowa gal,
The water based polyurathan dries much faster than the other but to be honest the old type dries to a much sturdier finish. I let my floors dry for 2 days. I do the room in two sections so the whole area is not wet at one time.
Lovely, cozy, wonderful photos - as always - Patty. Your tree is especially beautiful.

And I love the teeny picture of you a few posts down! :)
