Mei-Ling

Melanie just called from the Doctors office. No good news for Mei-Ling. The MRI showed a deformity of tail bone and problems with the nerves surrounding it. The Doctor is setting up an appointment for her to see a neurosurgeon post haste. They found that her bladder is becoming more misshapen and the infections are becoming more numerous which endangers her only kidney so on November 5th they are going in to do surgery where they make a drainage hole below the belly button so urine will just drain out. There will be no potty training coming up for Mei-Ling, strange but that sometimes dreaded task now seems like something so precious.
Keep her in your prayers and good thoughts. They want her to see the neurosurgeon well before the surgery in case there is something he/she can do about the nerve problem.
Melanie and Casi both sounded so sad, my heart goes out to them. They are just such good parents, so caring and always constant in their attention to Mei-Ling. Both of them are so hands on with this little blessing and so patient with all the challenges of early parenting. Never putting themselves before Mei-Ling and her needs. They are always so kind with this wee one and so calm with whatever situation arises. They always speak so calmly to her. God knew what he was doing when he put Mei-Ling into their hands and hearts. But they too need your prayers, for continued strength.
