Climb the Mountains

"Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you... while cares will drop off like autumn leaves."

Oh we took the kids to Dinosaur Valley a few years back. We had a blast. We even followed a trail in the water. Amanda and I ended up slipping in the water a few times. But, that made it all the more fun.

Hi Patty,
Just wanted to say I'm reading, in stages, the "Secret of the Strength" book. I'm finding it very interesting. I have read about Amish and Mennonite communities today, but I had no idea of the dramatic history of the Anabaptists - it has only been briefly referred to in any history of religion courses I've taken. I see iIt is a history of a revolutionary movement - quite different than the image of "frozen in time" that we see today, and I am quite taken by it. Still reading... thanks for the link.

Beautiful photos! You always have lovely ones and I always enjoy them -- being a nature lover myself. Thanks for sharing them.

I totally agree about walking in the mountains. We just returned from a wonderful weekend in New Mexico. It was a perfect way to spend the days before our move. We hiked, fished, and toasted gooey marshmallows over a campfire - pure bliss!

You mean this flat state of Texas has mountains? Wow... :-)

Mountain climbing would be something I wouldn't mind doing one day. I am sure I would feel it the next day, but I know it would be worth it. :)

Evening blessings,
Dawn

Hi Dawn,
We hike almost every weekend October thru to June...you and hubby are welcome to join us sometime. Our average hike is about 8 miles, so not bad.

hi Rebecca, we like the blue and white trails there...fine when the river is not running too wild in spring. Not possible to cross safely then.
