Lavender and Lace

This afternoon I was looking through my hats to find one to wear to Melanie's bridal shower next Saturday afternoon. Inside the hat box, my lavender hat was on top. I love this hat, and in my closet, a dress and shoes that match to a T. Although not one to wear to the shower, its one that makes me remember happy outings in spring.
I laid it on the bed, looking at it. I said the words Lavender and lace and suddenly found myself thinking about a book read so long ago and enjoyed so much.
