Melanie's in the Hospital Again !

Last night after our evening meal, Melanie was suddenly unable to breath and felt like someone was sitting on her chest. Her color changed to a ghostly white. Needless to say we rushed her to the hospital. In addition to the other problems, she passed out in the Emergency room from blood pressure too low. The Doctors had concerns that she may have a pulmonary embolism. Test after test was done, some inconclusive, some suggesting that there was a clot. Today a CAT scan was done to find out for sure if that was the problem. We all remained hopeful that all was well and that it was just something simple. The Doctors, all remained hopeful too. By late this evening the results were back, there is NO embolism. It appears there were a few factors causing the symptoms. An upper respiratory infection and a lot of anxiety. Needless to say no one slept last night, and we are all feeling a bit stressed but all is well now and she is resting comfortably in the hospital labor and delivery area. She has had a few contractions but they have stopped now. Perhaps she will be home tomorrow. We feel so incredibly blessed with the good news that it is not a blood clot. Mei-Ling had maintained a good strong heart beat the entire time. Kicking anyone who touches her moms tummy.
I have nothing but praise for all the staff at Walls Regional Hospital. They are all amazingly skilled and compassionate.
We are going to bed tonight counting our blessings. God is good !

I was kind of nervous that something had happened when you didn't post for a while.

Prayers for mom and baby. And those standing around twiddling their fingers and pacing about!! :o)))

Melanie is having a pretty bad time one way and another and you and Emery too. I'm glad all is well once again - tell Melanie that Francesca, who also had a dreadful pregnancy, said it was all worth it in the end.

Thoughts and prayers are with her. I hope things go a little smoother the rest of the way out for her. She has certainly had a rough time.
