1902, 1980 & Now 2008

Mei-Ling is wearing her great great grandmothers baby dress in the picture. The 5th generation to wear this lovingly hand made baby dress. We have a picture of Melanie in this dress too, but I can't seem to find it, so I included the pictures of my grandmother and Melissa wearing it.

How fortunate that you have this lovely dress in the family. Now, someone needs to name a baby girl Alexandra, and keep tradition going.

Hey, my middle name and my daughter's middle name as well as my grandmother's middle name is Mae!
Oh that is so wonderful!

What a beautiful timeline. Is there a picture of you wearing it?
That's beautiful! My little guy wore the family christening gown from his father's mother's enormous family. It's not as old as yours, but it was made from lace someone in the family brought home from Ireland during the first World War, and has been worn by probably at least one hundred babies.

What a precious heritage that beautiful dress has. I have always wanted to smock a christening dress for our family to pass down. Maybe for our future sweet grandbabies!
