Grand-blessings At Homestead Heritage Craft Fair

The grandblessings had fun at the fair too. The dress we made Mei-Ling was too big for her after her surgery weight less, so we will save it for next year. The weather was damp and drizzly

and not very warm.

Looks like everyone had fun! I know my boys did. I came home with 2 wooden spatulas and 2 wooden sailboats, not to mention hand shelled popcorn and a variety of other goodies. Of course, I had to stock up on their habenero jelly...yum! I'm going to post pictures on my blog in tonight or tomorrow. I just love it out there and am so thankful that we live so close to there that we can visit often. My friend, Dee, lives on the farm so we often visit her or stop by the deli or grocery store.

we go there often for lunch and to buy cornmeal, which is the best cornmeal in the world ! We also have several friends from the community and have been to a friday night meeting there.

That's were we get all our whole grains. I also love their cornmeal =-)

We've been invited to attend the Friday meetings, but it will be after the fair. They told us that often during the fair they don't have regular Friday meetings. So, we'll probably go sometime in the next few weeks. We've been looking forward to it. What did you think of the meeting? My BIL loved it, but SIL didn't.

Sometime when you head down this way, email me to let me know and maybe we can meet up for lunch =-)

we are not charismatic so we felt a bit uncomfortable at the friday night meeting and chose not to go back to another one.
