My daughter took this picture today of a pine cone in the wood stove. I thought it looked so pretty. The woodstove has been working overtime today with this artic blast hitting us. Right now the actual temp is 17 and the wind chill is 0. Pretty cold for this part of Texas.
The second picture is how I spent my quiet time today. Since I was ordered to rest, I decided to make some garland for my small tree in the dining room. Just simple ribbon and pretzels. It can also be made with the white yogurt covered pretzels which makes a very pretty garland but that I know would be eaten away bit by bit by the family.
