I just love Tomte, Swedish elves. I think they are so cute and they are friends of goats, so whats not to love !
I have been collecting gnomes and tomte for many years but thought it would be fun to make my own. This is a little tomte was fun to make. Knitting the tiny sweater and hat was great fun . The tiny boots were a bit of a chore sewing but rewarding. This little ones body is made of pipe cleaners and felt. Her head a pre painted wooden ball and her hair is raffia.
Anxious to make a whole family of Tomte so that is what I intend to do today.
