Thanks for reposting this as I don't think I read it the first time. I, too, wonder what has happened to all that idealism. Every once in awhile I catch a glimpse of it, though. The fact that I see it in my kids makes me especially happy.

I was just talking to my friend about this yesterday. How music takes me to different times in my life. She says she doesn't get that. I said how said. I can remember my first dance, my first kiss, when my children were born, when I lost loved ones......What an awesome post! I do believe I missed it when you first posted it.
