The Little Wren

A small movement in the wood stack outside my window caught my attention this morning. I watched and watched to see what that little creature was that darted between the logs, hiding from me. I could just see quick movement of something brown. I suspected a bird all along, but what kind was it.
Sure enough, patience paid off and I caught glimpse of the tiny wren. It was hiding from me.

But soon enough we heard a pecking sound on the side of the porch where this little one was trying to make a home for the winter by enlarging a seam of the soffit.
I managed to snap a couple photos of this little wren.
How wonderful it is to watch nature around us.

Ah, what a dear little bird. Lucky you to have seen him. But not so much luck, really. You pay attention and so find a world of gifts and treasures.
