Uncomplicated Living

As the sun began to set and the shadows grew bolder, I lit the candle in the window. I marvelled at the colors shining in. In silence I stood there soaking in all the beauty that surrounds my life. A garden, wood piles, trees, roses, birds at the feeders, squirrels jumping from the roof of the barn to the roof of the chicken coop. Sunrises and sunsets that delight both my eye and my soul.
A home that is humble, comfortable, warm and a place where you can be who you really are. Its an honest place.
Deeper yet, in this world of mine, there is all the beauty that comes of being surrounded by love and an uncomplicated life, a truly simple life. A life we worked towards from the very beginning.
