I have a little book titled, "Secrets of the Spas" by Catherine Bardey and its just filled with gorgeous pictures, recipes to make your own spa treatments and the sweetest little quotes.
Since today is Saturday and tomorrow will be a special date day....out for breakfast at La Madeline's, shopping at World Market and Central Market (favorite stores of mine) I decided that today I will pamper myself a bit, so I got this little book out and searched for just the thing to make it a spa sort of day.
Papaya Face Peel
papaya contains papin, a natural enzyme that removes dead skin cells.
1 packet unflavored gelatin
3 tablespoons distilled water
1 papaya, peeled and seeded
In a saucepan, combine the gelatin and water and dissolve the gelatin over low heat.
Place papaya in a blender and blend thoroughly. Strain and save the liquid. In a small bowl, combine gelatin and papaya juice. Refrigerate for about 20 minutes or until the gelatin is just about beginning to set. Spread gelatin over face and neck and relax for 15 minutes. Rinse off with a soft sponge or cloth dipped in warm water.
