How early can you plant down there? We are just getting some of our crop in. Yours is looking great.

Hi Carrie, we usually plant around the middle of February. This year we were a bit late in planting due to the changes we made in the size of the garden. It took us a couple weeks to get all the new fence up and till it a couple times before we planted. I think we had our potatoes and onions in by the end of February. Most years we plant a second garden in the fall and have a few things through the winter, like collard greens, cabbage etc.

I planted my first sprig of lavender this spring. I hope it does well. I put it in an area that slopes for good drainage and I usually forget to water there. I heard they can't take wet feet. It also gets all day sun. They are just tiny right now, but some day they'll be 4 feet tall! Fingers crossed!

We get our last frost here around the middle of April. Every time I've had the time to plant since it has rained. I hope to have it all in this weekend.
I don't have a very large spot unfortunately, so I have to limit my planting to things that will give the highest yield. I'm planning on a fall garden of greens. It will be my first go at it so I'm anxious for it to go well.

We still haven't planted here. With temps in the 30's last night and the wind and rain today I was glad. We are trying for this coming weekend. Our last day of forecast frost is the 15th. Your garden looks beautiful!
