How To Handle Your Money, an old formula

Matthew 6:19 "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20 But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. "
1 Timothy 6:6 But godliness with contentment is great gain. 7 For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. 8 But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that. 9 People who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge men into ruin and destruction. 10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.
17 Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. 18 Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share. 19 In this way they will lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age, so that they may take hold of the life that is truly life.

Beautiful photo on this post and at the top of your blog. Thanks for your comment on my blog. We don't yet know what age we'll adopt. Not likely to be an infant, though. I plan to update on my blog as we know more. We're just counting on God to let us know who he has picked out to join our family.

Yeah, all the religious, spiritual or mystical leading figures through the ages said the same : Bouddha, St Francis, Mahatma Gandhi, Mother Teresa... (and I must forget many others !); they gave up focusing on their earthly possessions to follow their calling ; now all the people don't want to give up all they have, but it's always possible to get inspired from the idea of considering material things for what they are : just material things, and so share them more easily, not hold on to them as to dear life and considering them as a way to achieve happiness.
Thanks for this post !

I live on a small farm in Nampa, Idaho. We came here from Southern California. We wanted to feel the fresh air on our skin. To see the real color of the sky and let our kids know nature. We live in a 1906 farm house that we have brought back to life....Thank you for coming by, I haven't read all your wanderful post, but I did see some beautiful pictures...I will be back. Mary
