Just pictures from the morning

"Nature will bear the closest inspection. She invites us to lay our eye level with her smallest leaf, and take an insect view of its plain."

"If a man walks in the woods for love of them half of each day, he is in danger of being regarded as a loafer. But if he spends his days as a speculator, shearing off those woods and making the earth bald before her time, he is deemed an industrious and enterprising citizen."
“What's the use of a fine house if you haven't got a tolerable planet to put it on?”

Hi Margo, I use a Sony DSC-H2 Super Steady shot. Easy camera to use, but a bit of camera experience is helpful in using some of the settings. I have taken well over 18,000 pictures with it now and continue to be impressed with how the camera works. I take about 1,000 pictures a month.

1. Your photos are always so wonderful. Thanks for sharing your camera info.

We use a Canon Powershot A620? It does a decent job, but I want to get a higher-resolution camera.

2. Great, great quote! So much of Thoreau's philosophy resonates with me.
