Irish Dancers
All four of our children did Irish Step Dancing. We traveled all over the southern states for competitions, each competition called a Feis, and the big regional competition called "The Oireachtas". There are many levels of competition. Steven qualified for going to Ireland for the "Worlds" dance competition but never went. I thought the Dresses may appeal to all those who appliqué. Each dress has a traditional Celtic design appliquéd on velvet. Many times the designs come from the Book of Kells. Each girl had to have two dresses, a "solo" dress for solo dances and then a "school" dress for when figure dances were done with other students from the dance school. Our children danced under the direction of Maureen Hall's McTeggart Irish Dancers
