A Long Time Dream Come True

Since I was a little girl I have always wanted a hooded cradle like I saw in all the historic homes I saw. This week my dream came true. Emery bought this for me to have next to the wood stove. Mei-Ling was having great fun in it. I had planned to keep one of my dolls in it, but I think it might just be for real babies right now.

Ahhh, I love the hooded cradles. I found a little one for Chelsea and she has a special doll she keeps in it. I would love to have one in the future. I just love your home.

Patty. I have been gone since Monday morning. I have just been catching up with your blog. I am so sorry to hear of Melanie's ills. I pray she is doing some better. It must be a calming relief for her to know her daughter is in your loving care at this time.

I have been looking over woodworking plans so that my husband can build me one. I didn't have a cradle for any of my babies and I am determined to have one for the next baby. (Um, I'm not pregnant though. Just like to plan ahead.) :)
Yours is very pretty. Mighty cute baby in it as well.

What a beautiful cradle! I've dreamed of having one too. Perhaps when I have grand children. :-) I will keep Melanie and her sweet family in my prayers.

I had never seen cradles like this before - and this one is beautiful ! Your husband is really very thoughtful, a "rare pearl" as we say here.
Well Mei-Ling is very lucky as well, looks like she had a lot of fun with it !

Lovely cradle. Glad to hear Melanie is healing, and improving. She can rest knowing Mei-Ling is so safe, comfortable and happy with you. She sure is cute!
Peace and joy in the day...
