Around the place today

Late this afternoon, when the sun casts long and dark shadows, it was time for a walk around the place. In spring, (the land knows no calendar) things change rapidly. Leaves burst forth overnight. Flowers appear and disappear so quickly. The earth pushes tiny plants out of the rich brown soil right before your eyes. Suddenly, insects appear, gathering tiny bits of nectar and pollen. One cannot deny a creator. Evidence is all around us.
Aya up a tree, pestering the birds building a home, roosters fighting for first place among the hens. Solomon running off as if to meet an important date.
Dandelions turning from yellow to fluff. Weeds in bloom, as if to say they matter. So much beauty. Apricot blossoms scenting the late afternoon air with a sweet scent, so much better than any perfume on the store shelf. Green grass, soft as a plush carpet under my feet. Clothes dancing in the gentle breeze, coming alive before my eyes in the wind.
The sky alive with motion as clouds fly by, wispy things, torn cotton balls cast across the vast blue sky. The fresh air on my face, coolness creeping in with the setting of the sun. Ahhh what splendor before us, around us and there to be enjoyed, we just need to make the time.

I love these domestic, everyday things collages that you do, there are always so many lovely things to see and many people are too busy rushing around to even notice them. The dandelion clock is beautiful, we aren't at that stage yet here, the fresh young leaves are through but no flowers so far. I'm looking for the first of the celandine flowers in the woods and at the bottom of my garden. Has the new rooster got a name yet? I'll bet Soloman is still number one bird - in his own opinion anyway:)
