Apples, Oranges and Cinnamon Garland

Every couple of years I make another one of these garlands to hang in the house. They smell wonderful and last for years. I store them in zip lock bags each year so they retain their wonderful aroma.
I string my garland with hemp string using a large needle. Dust the fruit well with the cinnamon clove mixture. Completely covering it seems to work best.
Here is the link on how I make it.

Last December I got as far as drying the apple and orange slices well-dusted with a cinnamon/allspice mixture. Never got them sturng into garlands, but packed them into glass canisters, which in turn were packed when we moved. I'd like to think I could find them in the many boxes stacked in the basement--I hope the change of climate didn't cause them to mold.
