Fall Garden Blessings

This is what I picked from the garden this morning and what good tasting broccoli it is. Soon, some of the cabbage will be ready to pick and collard will be ready too. Beats and lettuce ready now too. Rain is gently falling as is the temperature about to do. A wintry day is on the way and that suits me just fine. Perfect for writing my Christmas letter to go out with my cards.
Emery is busy stacking wood from a tree that lost large limbs in a storm this year at Melanie and Casi's house, it is a day of preparation around here, for the cold to come.

this fall we planted, beets, snow peas, carrots, collard greens, cabbage, lettuce, winter squash, broccoli, brussel sprouts, and spinach.
Your local extension office is a great place to find out what to plant when, in your area and often they will do soil testing for you and they can put you in touch with some local master gardeners that are a wealth of information.
