Veggie Burgers

One of our families favorite foods is veggie burgers. I make several kinds but this is an old standby for us. Melissa wrote down this recipe about 12 years ago for me and every time I use it, I remember the very day she copied it out for me. Tonight we piled them high with alfalfa sprouts...ummm ummmm good.

I've never seen that product. Where do you buy it?

We get ours at the local health food store and I am pretty sure Whole Foods carries it and in Oklahoma City, you can get it at the Adventist Book Center
4735 NW 63rd St
Oklahoma City, OK 73132-6851
(405) 721-6114
There are all kinds of good vegetarian meat substitutes to be found there.

Thanks, Patty! I'll have to check that out the next time I'm in OKC. Most meat substitutes are either soy-based (I'm leery of non-fermented soy) or are full of unpronounceable and questionable ingredients (or mushrooms to which I'm deathly allergic). I hadn't seen a grain-based substitute so I'm hoping that's something that might work for us. Thanks again!

I worked for the company that made this product: Worthington Foods, for twelve years. The food is not only healthy, but tasty as well.
