Just Pictures....

Time for me to take a break from blogging. I am finding it difficult to post, the joy of it is diminishing each day. I am always writing in fear of offending someone since such a broad spectrum of folks read this. Plus I am finding it difficult to always be checking comments consistently through my day and posting them after I have read them. But there is no way I can go back to not moderating them.
I am busy and the computer is needing to take a back seat in my life .
For a while, I am not going to be posting and may even take the blog off line for a while.
Mei-Ling has surgery tomorrow so I will probably post something about how things went, but after that, this blog will be on sabbatical !

I see wee Miss Mei Ling found your bridge. =) Is she walking on her own yet? You will be missed, but I understand. Keep us posted on her surgery.
Oh how I love your site....I hope you keep it up but I do understand if you don't.

You have been such a blessing and I am so glad that I found your site a year ago!

God Bless You & Your Family!

Good luck to Mei-Ling for her surgery, I will keep praying for her.
I will miss you very much, dear, but if you feel the need to step away from blogging for a while, well then you should absolutely do that so it doesn't feel like a pressure and a constraint. It can get pretty time-consuming... and not always pleasant with negative-minded people ! I hope you will not give up on blogging altogether, though. In the meantime, I wish you a pleasant and ressourcing "off-line time". And I thank you a million times again for all you've taught me and all the wonderful and positive stuff I got from your posts.
BIG BIG hugs !!

I want you to know that I'm going to miss you and reading your post but I do understand. I know that sometimes we let things override the things that are important to us. I pray that Mei-Ling surgery goes well. I have been very blessed by calling you my friend and reading your post. I trully enjoyed the poem that you posted. Take care and hope you and yours have a blessed day.

Patty, I will miss your presence on line if you take a break. There's so much on your blog, I selfishly want you to leave it so I can continue to read it, even if you stop posting. But I also totally understand needing to pull something down and have it gone for awhile -- or forever. I've done it myself. I know it's not just the daily writing, but the comments and the responsibilities and feelings towards it, etc.

I hope the surgery tomorrow goes very well and that Mei-Ling has complete and perfect healing.

p.s. if my husband wasn't allergic, I'd glad give that grey kitty a home if he needs one. They are so precious! I also woke up thinking aout your bridge this morning and wondered if you've been planting flowers around it or creating a little rock garden around it.

Oh. I understand, but it still saddens me. I will miss you. It was so nice to find some one similar. Some one who understands where I came from and how it feels to be different. Different from your roots, yet also different from the world you live in. I also love reading your thoughts. I shock my Momma and Daddy often when I talk about questioning God when I die. Then again I live around people now who think I am too strict in my beliefs. Sigh, I gave up long ago making everyone happy. There are so many aspects of my younger life I don't wish to repeat. It wasn't an easy life. Yet, there is so much I have learned since stepping away that makes me wonder why people do the things they do. I do not want to give up my indoor plumbing, but I do enjoy growing my own food even if it is easier to get it at the farmers market in town. Do you think people will ever learn to live in peace? Peace with themselves as much as peace with others? Keep in touch.

prayers being said for the little one. Understand your taking a blogging break. Don't stop blogging because you worry about hurting people's feelings. Its your blog and your thoughts and feelings. I write as if I am writing a letter to someone. Sharing my views, thoughts and my day. If someone doesn't like it or is hurt then they have the option of not reading it and I have the option of deleting their comments. Whatever you decide I have been blessed by your posts. Thank you

I will miss you sweet friend, but I understand that blog world is not very important in the big scheme of things. Home and family are such priorities for you just as they should be. I will be praying for Mei-ling tomorrow. Give her a big hug for me.

You will be missed, but you have to do what feels right, for as long as it feels right.
Prayers are being said that Mei-Ling's surgery goes well, and that she is up and about soon.
Hugs!

I'll be praying that all goes well for dear little Mei-Ling. I do understand the need for a break but I hope you'll continue to blog at some point. Even though my life is quite different from yours in some ways, I still enjoy reading your thoughts. I am in no way offended by someone who makes different choices and cannot understand why people who disagree with you enough to leave rude comments would even bother to read your blog.

Some of the blogs I read don't allow comments. Perhaps that's an option you should consider. Fwiw, since I read blogs from Bloglines, I rarely read the comments sections anyway.

God bless you and your lovely family.

Praying for Mei Ling's surgery to go well. I understand about your desire to take a break, but please leave your blog up for us to read past posts while you're on sabbatical. I look to it for inspiration almost daily and would miss it very much.

I found your blog a few weeks back and became enraptured with the way you describe the simplest things, I have found your thougths on various issues to be profound, and I am enchanted with your grandchildren's progression into the beautiful young ladies they are becomming. I hope that you continue to be a ray of sunshine and inspiration into my day, despite what others might have said to you, this reader has nothing but admiration for you and your ideas. Blessings!

I will definnitely miss you Ms Patty. I have only been posting comments for a short while but have been reading your post for over a year. It has certainly helped me so many times. Being a single mom of two little ones can be pretty challenging in this world, but your message is always one that brings me hope.

Would you recomend any other sites while you take your time off?

Will be praying for all the little ones :)

Dear Patty, I am sad but understanding. Blogging should not feel like a burden. If it does, it is surely time to stop, forever or for a time. You don't have to decide that now. Prayers for Mei-Ling and all your family from Kristi in Ohio

Having felt the same myself from time to time I completely understand you wanting to give the computer a rest for a while. I hope Mei-Ling's surgery goes well and that all the family stay healthy. Take care of yourself and enjoy the summer :-)
