What A Blessing !

Mei-Ling had to see the Doctor today, to hear the results of the nephrostogram she had done last week. I think everyone was holding their breath, waiting for the report. Melanie said she didn't sleep well last night in anticipation.
The Doctor smiled when he came in and told Melanie and I that the reflux is GONE ! No need for another surgery and now that it is resloved she will no longer have to be on an antibiotic every day. She has been on one for just about her entire 7 months.
Another bit of wonderful news is that she has gained 2 lbs in a very short time. She was just not gaining for a while and with the last urinary tract infection, she lost some weight.
It was a day of all good news ! Mei-Ling had some blood work done and they got it on the first stick, which is nothing less than a miracle too.

In February they are going to do an MRI to check out her kidney, she only has one and then check for other problems associated with her heterotaxy polysplenia.
I was hold this dear one today, kissing her little fat cheeks and I heard and felt a kiss from this wee miracle. She kissed her grammie ! Melanie and I had a bit of lunch at a local market cafe, basking in the noontime sunshine. It has been pretty close to a perfect day. Oh one more thing, Mei-Ling got her first tooth yesterday.
God is so good, so very good.

Sound asleep after her busy morning.

NO NO NOT A TOOTH!! She's too young, at leats it seems.....where does the time go! So glad she is doing well! She is such a pretty little thing. OH I cant believe she's got a tooth! My grand is 8 1/2 weeks old & I just cant figure out where the time is going! Danny said she called him "Papa" yesterday but I KNOW HE IS TELLING A BIG FAT LIE! Patty I'm really glad Mei-Ling is doing so good. I know it is a load off of your heart!

That's just such wonderful news - best Christmas present! I didn't think it would be so quick to heal. Miracles are alive and well in our world. Give Mei-Ling a kiss and cuddle from Downunder :-)

P.S. Rachael is crawling and standing at the furniture - life is good.

I bet that was the sweetest kiss that you ever received, must have melted your heart! But you must be mistaken, Patty ... she can't have her first tooth already!!!
