Fall Garden

There are such blessings to a fall garden here in North Texas.  No searing heat, very few weeds and just a few brave bugs.   Most years we have collard greens and cabbage throughout the winter.  Carrots planted in the fall, grow slowly all winter and are harvested in early spring, sweet as can be.
Emery uses a high wheel cultivator from Lehman's, I use it too, but can't manage take pictures of myself using it !

What a blessing! Your garden looks wonderful, and what joy it must for you to see your hubby working and feeling much better.

We are able to raise kale which over-winters, and late August planted cabbages and broccoli are on the menu now til hard frost. We're nearing the end of a harvest of green and yellow beans. We can begin to plant again here in early march.

Your garden looks great! How do you like using the wheel cultivator? Is it easy to use?

we love the high wheel cultivator and I use it myself with no problem. Our soil is wonderful so that may make a difference. Emery uses the tiller on the weedy areas each spring and then we can use the cultivator more easily. I love it for making planting rows too, has an attachment for that.
