Update on Melanie

Melanie is doing o.k and the baby is fine. So far it looks like just high blood sugar and low blood pressure. Her blood pressure was only 88/50 and her blood sugar was over 300. Since she has not had any real high blood sugars for months now, her body just reacted badly to it. She is on the Maternal Observation Unit and they will keep an eye on her for a while and then decide if she can come home today.
