An Afternoon of Fun

Melanie was feeling so much better today, she actually had a full nights sleep last night, thanks to all who prayed for her ! We took the opportunity to do a bit of shopping together. She gets to ride around the store on one of those electric wheel chair things. We were blessed to find the things we needed all on clearance sale, which left some money for a treat at Starbucks. We have had such a history of afternoon chats over coffee through the years and today seemed a good day to add one more to our list of good memories. Melanie made a healthy choice for her drink and I had an iced latte.

It seems like its been a long time since we had a shopping trip together, which made it extra special.

Its time now to get the evening meal going and bring in the laundry off the line. Tiny white undershirts, the very ones my girls wore as babies. Mei-Ling will get to wear them too. These little shirts are complete with diaper tabs that you pin the cloth diaper to the shirt to keep the gaps at bay. Not even sure they make such diaper tabs on undershirts any longer.

I was filled with pleasant memories as I hung each little shirt up. There are lots of them as I have them up to size 12 months.
