Cooing of Doves

Song of Solomon 2: 11&12

the rains are over and gone.
Flowers appear on the earth;
the season of singing has come,
the cooing of doves

Grandma Francis (hubby's mom/grandma she raised him she is 90 and still has her own garden) :) has always said when the doves coo it's because their feet are dry and they want rain. :)

I can't remember if I already told you, we have a dove nesting in my flower box on the back porch. It does have an egg. I try not to scare the poor thing when I go out there. I nicknamed it our dove of peace.
Doves are so pretty--smooth and plump. We have Mourning Doves and Ring-necked Doves.
