More Surgery for Mei-Ling

It looks like there will be a big surgery coming up for Mei-Ling in the upcoming months.   Our sweet Grandblessing has gone for quite some time with no major health issues and now its time to do one of the surgeries they knew would have to take place.  They will be doing work on her bladder and bowel.  A six hour surgery, with a long recovery.  At least a week in the hospital and three weeks of bed rest after that.  My heart aches just thinking about her having to go through it but it will make her life so much better.   Lots of tests in the near future before the surgery.   Lots of prayer needed.
In the photos, she is examining all the finds she made on a nature hike with Papa.  All going in her treasure box !

I LOVE that Mei-Ling considers these treasures!! She is, of course, very right in doing so!
I will be praying for your granddaughter...may she feel God's love especially during this time.
Blessings,
Aimee

Praying for Mei-Ling, that the surgery is successful and will be to her lasting benefit. Also that she will not be in too much pain during her recovery, and prayers for all the family for the strength needed to see her thru this time.
My little 5 yr old son also has a treasure box in his room, full of leaves, acorns, pinecones and all sorts of nature's bounty! How wonderful that our children place such value on God's beautiful creations!

I can only imagine how badly your heart is hurting, knowing your precious granddaughter is facing another major surgery. I hope it gives you some comfort to know that others will be praying for her, as well. Please keep us posted as to when the surgery will be.

Patty, I was thinking about her just last night and thinking she's been doing so well. I will be praying for her and if you will let us know when she's doing well enough to get surprises, maybe I could send her a little "cheer me up" package in the mail.
