What happens when its this cold in Texas ?

Yup, pipes freeze and burst. Happening all over North Texas right now. We were blessed that it was just a small outside pipe that broke and one that Emery could fix easily, well, it wasn't exactly easy digging up all that mud ! His boot got stuck in the mud and he had to hop all the way inside to get a replacement boot. Today was above freezing which meant the job had to be done today, before more cold weather arrives.

I'm from Ohio, so I know of frozen pipes, but I realize this is not typical for Texas. Glad your husband was able to do your repairs. A friend from Texas, also told me of her frozen shower. Hope it warms up for you soon.

Hi Patty. Oh I do sympathize with you, we had that happen a couple of years ago here in Georgia. One frosty morning a 92 year old friend of ours drove up for a surprise visit and said to my husband "You shore do got ya a fountain going out there boy!" We didn't quite know what he meant until we looked outside and saw a geyser of water shooting up from a cracked pipe in our well. It was so freezing cold, windy and miserable and my husband worked out there all day! What a man, I felt so loved and taken care of. I made sure he had some warm apple bread when he came in! :) Have a nice day Delisa
