Afternoon Shadows
Afternoon shadows cast interesting patterns on the living room floor. I love the contrast between light and dark. Something homey and comforting abut them. Maybe its that they remind me that fall is on the way. My basket of wool sits right under the window waiting to be spun . Its filled with shades of pumpkin and the warm natural browns that come from un-dyed wool. This is the time of year I start thinking about spinning yarn for hats, sweaters and warm wooly socks. I find myself thumbing through old pattern books looking for just the right project for the right yarn. There is something very comforting about the sound of the spinning wheel softly humming along. It provides lots of thinking time too. Looking forward to fall.
